About

Morning Music Circle is geared towards babies ages 6 months to around 1.5 years old, who participate along with their caregivers. It is also open to any family on the waiting list for a spot in our Baby or Toddler Rooms, as well as any younger siblings of children enrolled in one of our older classrooms. Due to safety of all participants, children must be under the age of 2 when starting the program.

Morning Music Circle, at its core, is an opportunity for socialization with other caregivers and children around the same age, as well as to introduce families to the Parents' Place community. Caregiver participation is required with your child for this program. The Morning Music Circle schedule is built around play-based early childhood practices. We provide fine and gross motor activities for little ones that can participate with a focus on sensory play, music, art, and science.

Families with infants who cannot yet sit unassisted or who may not be able to participate in sensory activities are welcome! We view MMC as an avenue for community and socialization first and foremost.

Enrollment

We are currently enrolling for Fall Morning Music Circle. You can choose from the following options:

  1. Fall Session 1: UNAVAILABLE (FULL)

    8 classes over 9 weeks on Mondays, 9/14-11/9 (no class 10/12); cost $40 total per child

  2. Fall Session 2: UNAVAILABLE (FULL)

    8 classes over 8 weeks on Wednesdays, 9/16-11/4; cost $40 per child

  3. Fall Sessions 1 & 2: UNAVAILABLE (FULL)

    16 classes over 9 weeks on both Mondays and Wednesdays; above listed dates; cost $80 per child

The fee for attending is as stated above and will be billed in September. There is no refund for missed classes and no opportunity for make-up classes unless Parents' Place determines there should be a make-up class due to inclement weather or unforeseen closures.

In order to enroll, you must complete an application form. More information will be sent over the summer after we receive your completed form. If you have any questions, you can email our Enrollment Chair at enrollment@parentsplacewv.org.

Parents’ Place

As a Morning Music Circle participant, you are also welcome at any Parents’ Place playdates and parties. Additionally, you are welcome to attend any parent room presentations that you would like, regardless of day of the week. More information about playdates, parties, and presentations is provided during the term. 

 Morning Music Circle FAQs

  • We’re located in the downstairs of Spruce St. UMC (across from the library). Morning Music Circle takes place in Parent Room 2.

  • Not at all! This program is geared towards babies ages 6 months to around 1.5 years old, who participate along with their caregivers.   • Aside from your little one being able to engage in age-appropriate activities with other children, as a parent or caregiver you can socialize and meet other parents, as well as get a look at how Parents’ Place runs. We believe socialization and community are the biggest benefits of MMC.

  • We do a mix of sensory play (think safe sensory bins), songs, nursery rhymes, and more. Each week will have a theme with a story/song. Mondays and Wednesdays will include some slight variations in case families would like to attend both sessions.
